On 17 October 2024, the SciEntBG hub team, led by Dr. Dmytro Zherlitsyn, participated in the Workshop on Mental Health & Virtuous Academic Culture online segment. This event, coordinated by Dr. Fernando Josa Prado and Dr. Stefano Zucca, occurred at the Auditorium Aldo Moro in Turin, Italy. The sessions on the first day included an in-depth exploration of "Intro to Mental Health Literacy," which highlighted foundational aspects of mental health awareness essential for academic professionals. Another significant session was "Mental Health in Academia," addressing the unique challenges researchers and academics, especially young scientists, face. The workshop also emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of clear communication in laboratories to enhance interpersonal interactions and collaborative efforts within academic environments. The participation of the SciEntBG team enriched their understanding of mental health issues. It sparked new ideas for implementation within the hub. This aligns with their broader goals to support researchers and boost scientific entrepreneurship through the SciEntBG hub.
