New Psychological Support Services Available for Refugee and Displaced Researchers through EURAXESS Mentoring Programme

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting refugee researchers, scholars at risk, and displaced academics, the EURAXESS Mentoring Programme has launched a new psychological support service. This initiative aims to provide free, professional mental health consultations to those navigating the complex challenges of academic displacement, resettlement, and integration into the European research landscape.

The service is available at no cost to eligible participants and is intended to complement existing mentoring and career support offered through the EURAXESS network.

Who can benefit?

  • Refugee researchers

  • Displaced academics

  • Scholars at risk working or seeking to work in Europe

How to access the service:

  1. Register via the platform: https://mentoring.euraxess.bg/

  2. Contact the programme team at: mentoring@fmi.uni-sofia.bg for guidance on how to schedule psychological consultations.

This service strengthens the holistic approach of EURAXESS in empowering researchers who face forced migration or other academic disruptions, ensuring that mental well-being is prioritized alongside professional development.
