Terms and Conditions of Use

By registering to take part in the Mentoring Programme “Shape the future of a Researcher coming to Europe” as a mentor or as a mentee, herewith I declare that I understand and agree to respect the following principles:

Taking Part in the Mentoring Programme “Shape the future of a Researcher coming to Europe”

I have voluntarily registered to the Mentoring Programme “Shape the future of a Researcher coming to Europe” and provided my consent to enter into a mentoring relationship. I agree to be paired by the system with a mentor/mentee based on the criteria described in Section “Getting Involved” and the information I have provided in the registration form.

Relationship

I agree to enter into the mentoring relationship with the researcher I have been paired. I agree to follow the Mentoring Plan and it six predefined topics described in it, but I understand that as a mentor/mentee I can suggest other topics which I feel will benefit my participation to the Programme.

As a mentee I will openly discuss my career goals and experiences for the purpose of shared learning and career enhancement. As a mentor I agree to respect my mentee in regard to their independent goals.

I agree to attempt to work thorough any communication challenges or relationship conflicts that may arise during the relationship but understand that I can terminate this relationship at any time by contacting the Mentoring Programme Coordinator. I may or may not be matched with a different mentor/ mentee.

Confidentiality

I understand that confidentiality is critical to developing a trusting mentoring relationship. Consequently, I agree to maintain the confidentiality of the personal information that we share with each other. Furthermore, I understand that we will both uphold the same standard of confidentiality.

Time Commitment

I commit to working together with the mentor/mentee I was paired with for at least six times within a period no longer than six months. I understand that we will mutually agree which online communication channels to use in our mentoring relationship.

Informed Consent

I agree to fill in, sign and submit to the Mentoring Programme Coordinator the Informed Consent Form within three days after entering into a mentorship relationship.

Feedback Commitment

I commit to provide a feedback to the Mentoring Programme Coordinator within five days after the end of the mentoring sessions by filling up and submitting a Mentoring Evaluation Form (Evaluation Form for Mentors; Evaluation Form for Mentees). I understand and agree that the information provided by me in the Mentoring Evaluation Form will be used only for the purpose of Evaluation the Mentoring Programme by the Mentoring Programme Coordinator and no personal data will be shared, disclosed or processed in the process of the Programme evaluation by the Mentoring Programme Coordinator.

I am 18 years or older and am competent to provide consent *

I have been fully informed about the aims and purposes of the EURAXESS TOP IV Project and the Mentoring Programme “Shape the future of a Researcher coming to Europe”. I understand that there is no compulsion to participate in the project and in the programme, if I choose to participate, I may at any stage withdraw my participation *

I have read, or had read to me, a document providing information about this programme and this consent form. I have had the opportunity to ask questions and all my questions have been answered to my satisfaction and understand the description of the informed consent form that is being provided to me *

I agree that my data (collected by registering to the programme, participation to the programme, provision of Mentoring Evaluation form) is used for scientific purposes and I have no objection that my feedback and data regarding scientific degree, country of residence, age, gender is published in scientific publications in a way that does not reveal my identity *

I freely and voluntarily agree to be part of this Mentoring programme, though without prejudice to my legal and ethical rights *

I understand that information may be shared between any of the other partners participating in this Project in an anonymous form. All information I give will be treated as confidential. The project partners will ensure to preserve my anonymity *

I declare that I am informed that after submitting the registration form, the mentee-mentor pairs will be matched automatically based by the Task’s goals criteria described in the Section “Getting Involved” of the description of the Mentoring Programme, and I agree my personal data to be sent automatically to the mentee-mentor with which I have a match *
